Rules The following below are rules that all on the site are expected to follow. This is just to ensure the enjoyment of everyone here. 1. Your account must share the same name as your character. 2. Harassment of any kind is forbidden. You will be reprimanded and repeated offenses will result in a ban. 3. Though this forum can delve into adult themes, please keep swearing to a tasteful level. Anything sexual, please cut to black. 4. Please respect your fellow players and the staff. 5. Please avoid godmodding. Please keep any combat fair. 6. Please respect the staff's decision. Likewise, all staff, make sure your judgements are fair. No using your influence to benefit some and punish others. 7. If you are using an actual duel for outcomes in a thread, please do not be a sore loser if you lose. Likewise, please don't be insufferable if you win. In character is alright, but please be sportsmanly out of character. FAQ "Do these monsters actually exist in this world" Yes, they actually do exist, and can even be interacted with. Do note though that monsters summoned by Duelists are what's referred to as "Spirit Constructs". They are essentially soulless copies of the actual monster. This also explains how you can summon multiple copies of the same monster. It is a general rule of thumb that Spirit Constructs are generally weaker than their real counterparts. For example, summoning a Blue Eyes White Dragon against an actual Blue Eyes will result in the genuine article winning. Finally, even if a monster is considered dead in the world, a Spirit Construct of them can still be summoned. "Can we summon monsters, use spells and traps outside of duels?" Yes, yes you can. Though similar rules to summoning them in a duel do apply. "Are there any banned cards?" Yes. This site will follow the current TCG ban list, found here. Note that these monsters and spells do exist in the world. They just cannot be used by duelists. "Can I play as [insert monster card here]?" No. All existing monsters in Yu-Gi-Oh are going to be NPCs. You may have ties to them, but you cannot play as them. "Are there any connections to the Yu-Gi-Oh series?" This is a separate canon, compared to the anime and manga. So no Millennium Items or anything of the sort. Characters can be used as face claims, but the actual characters themselves do not exist in this universe. "Do we have to play out out duels?" No, you do not. You can easily decide who wins ahead of time, and thrn just skip to the end. Heck, if you'renot much of a player at all, you don'thave to duel at all. Just enjoy the world and the story. |
